Employees / Volunteers

The Certified Tourism AmbassadorTM (CTA) Program is a ground-breaking, nationwide certification program that serves to increase tourism by training and inspiring front line hospitality employees and volunteers to work together toward the goal of turning every visitor encounter into a positive experience.

Thousands of CTAs are joining together for the first time - all across the country - who are committed to our industry and to building tourism by Enhancing the Visitor ExperienceTM.

CTAs work or volunteer in all segments of the hospitality industry, including airports, attractions, hotels, transportation and retail, just to name a few.

The CTA Program is designed to give you - as a front line hospitality employee or volunteer - learning experiences that will build upon your knowledge of the region and your performance in serving your customers.  It will help you answer the wide variety of questions you get from visitors and will increase your awareness of, and your ability to use, available information resources.

Upon earning your CTA designation, you will enjoy many benefits such as invitations to local industry events, career building tips, regular updates to help you stay in the know, special "Freebies & Discounts" offers so you can gain first-hand experience with area attractions/venues, and valuable skills that you will have for a lifetime.  In addition, you will have exclusive access to the CTANetwork.com, the online community for CTAs, which allows you to connect with other CTAs and provides important information to help you help visitors.

What separates the CTA Program from other training programs?  It is unique in that it goes well beyond customer service training.  It's a recognized, national designation - it's national certification.

As a CTA, you'll have the tools and knowledge necessary to create a more memorable visitor experience and you'll reap the benefits!
